In 1996, after attending Radford University in Virginia and meeting WyClef Jean and Pras from The Fugees after a school concert,

iRon Lion toured as lead singer of Drummie Zebb & The Razor Posse from Richmond, Virginia and Stable Roots reggae band from Harrisonburg, Virginia.

In 2000 he started iRon Lion and The Knotty Lionz Band.

From 2001-2006 was also a reggae radio dj at James Madison University and a local show liason , promoter and producer for various acts including SOJA.

In 2010 with his Knotty Lionz backing band, he opened for Jimmy Cliff at The Sprint Pavilion in Charlottesville, Va.

He has also opened for The Wailers Band, Israel Vibration, Morgan Heritage, Richie Spice, The Movement and many more reggae legends at shows along the East Coast USA.

In 2016 he won the Virginia Reggae Award for favorite CD, Reggae Party!

he is known for having a great pen!

iRon Lion covers legendary reggae hits and samples, re-plays and re-invents hits from various genres made famous over decades!
