Arkansas hip hop artist QB Way brings life back to the music game! Not since Tupac has anybody expressed the feelings of those stuck in inner city or sub-urban U.S. poverty environments so well.
"I heard "I'm a Souljah" after researching for an artist to manage. This was in 2019-20 or so. I had just visited Mariana, Arkansas for my great uncles funeral and saw a need for more consciousness there where my mom and dad were born and alot of family still reside, my roots in America. I used to walk the same streets back in the 70's, it's a very special place and real place in my heart! I became a conscious reggae artist but I was always a hip hop producer and track maker in my hood in Virginia.
I lived in a small college town and kept a backpack of my recordings of unheard atists over 20 years from 1992-2012. Along the way I established myself as reggae artist iRon Lion also. At this time I needed a young voice to rap over my beats but express things like I would. My mom calls Mariana, "Little Israel" and said one day from there America would hear the cry of the people from the voice of God or something like that, moms is always on some church stuff! But that's what had me searching for someone." says, company CEO Ronnie Brandon.
In no time, after the first conversation, QB Way began to contribute not only great music but noticeable promotional materials and a team of men and women from his area, like team player Mr. Ray, who are ready and have been putting in hard work for the opportunity to have a better life for themselves and their children!
Recent releases such as "I'm Thuggin", "Can't Stop", and "I'm a Souljah" have gained steady streams and followers at music retailors like Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal, to the point that key industry people have contacted management to start building relationships . Tour plans and more studio releases are in the works starting in Arkansas, STL, Chicago, Ohio, Indiana, NC, TN, GA, FLA and so on, then the west coast, then internationally!
"I look to have my team performing in proper places, not so much crappy bars and stuff. Our music and vibes are top class, so I'm thinking islands and sunshine for what we do, you feel me?" Brandon adds!
"Don't forget, I'm a reggae artist who loves Jamaica and Africa. I'm taking them with me or they're taking me,lol! But either way, more creativity, expression, product and major music festivals lie ahead for QB Way & B-Fam Recordz!" He mentions!
QB Way has opened shows for Wocka Flocka Flame in Kansas City, Mo. and Big Took in Lil. Rock at Club 428 early in his career alongside Mr. Ray.
QB Way has also been in videos alongside 1315 MO and was also at one point an artist performing as a guest with BMZ Productions based in Kansas City Productions.
Stay tuned for more hot music and moves from one of hip hop's fastest rising stars!
